A New Magazine
We have just published the first edition of a new magazine called "The Voice of One." It is the result of the heart-felt desire in some to continue to find new means and methods to spread the message of Christ and Him crucified to the world.
The writers for this magazine include people from Ireland, Costa Rica, the Netherlands, the United States and other countries. In this way, people are able to have a presentation of Christ from many different viewpoints. The one over-riding point that I hope will be clearly seen in this is that there is neither Gentile or Jew, male or female, but that Christ is all and in all in those who write for this magazine.
The purpose for the magazine is to present the realities of our crucifixion with Christ, Christ as the life of the believer, the need for Revelation of Christ, and many other similar truths. The other part of that purpose is to reach people with this reality or to feed those who are familiar with it.
The title for the magazine is given to express a spiritual reality. That reality is that though our writers live all over the world and have different ministries, yet we speak with one voice. That one voice declares one message and one life; the life of Jesus Christ. Our emphasis is not on the voice but rather on the One of Whom the voice is declaring.
The hope is to eventually put this magazine out every month. That is not feasible at this time, therefore in our beginning stage we will simply put the magazine out as often as we are able. That could range from twice a year to even more often.
It is our hope that if you, the readers, would like this magazine sent to your friends and family, that you will send us their address for our mailing list. However, please be aware that we have no finances coming in for the magazine at this time. So, any donations towards its publication will be greatly appreciated. We do not wish to be limited as to how many copies we are able so send out each time.
One plan that is being formulated at this time is the possibility of "The Voice of One" being translated into Spanish and then being distributed throughout Latin America. This will require the involvement of translators as well as finances for printing and mailing. However, our first goal is to get the magazine off the ground in English.
The collaboration that is taking place in the magazine has been from those who have gathered together for the Annual "Christ As Life" conference held in November. At this conference, the flock of God gathers together from all over the world to hear the message of the Cross, to renew our commitment for spreading this message of Life, and to fellowship with the men and women of God who hold the banner of Christ As Life high.
The conference has drawn us together in closer knit fellowship so that there is a flow of communication, visitation and collaboration between different groups in different places who hold forth this reality of Christ. The Voice of One is just one of the avenues that has been developed whereby people from the Christ As Life gathering may work together in coordination and oneness, to increase the level of Christ and Him crucified into the earth.
Many thanks to the writers of articles who take the time to share fresh bread with the hungry. If you have written something that might be a blessing to the Body of Christ then please feel free to submit it. Submission does not guarantee publication however. Also, the length or subject of your article might be such that we may need to use it later in an upcoming edition of the magazine. It is best to submit your article on floppy disk or CD placed in Microsoft Word, however, hard copies can be retyped into the computer although that can be very time consuming.
Also we would like to thank those who do all the lay out, editing, and publication. This work is done by brothers and sisters who have freely given of their time and energy to get the Word of God out. Please pray for them and support them in this endeavor.
Finally I just want to rejoice and glory in the Lord Jesus. And I am so blessed to be in fellowship and harmony with brothers and sisters who love Him in sincerity. May the Lord bless us all as we seek to bring about a greater awareness of Christ as Life.
